Evening all..

When I say scoundrels I mean it in the way that Dorothy Dandridge, Vivien Leigh or Marilyn Monroe would have said it.  Basically a low down dirty dog in a silk shirt.
Now adays the  word scoundrel is kind a of cute term.. but let's gets back to the very basics.  That dirty dog in a silk shirt...  Here's an example from a "gentleman" on this site.
Great conversation.. he kept it light and interesting.  He whizzed into town and wanted to meet up.  Ok great.  Don't you know he wanted to meet for drinks.  Ok.. I don't drink and sweethearts nothing good happens on a first "date" that starts after 9pm.
Just in time to save himself he volunteers breakfast as an alternative.  I think well.. perhaps he's decent.  Needless to say we didn't have breakfast. Because he didn't call after I didn't meet up the night before.
If someone is interested in hook up sex.. ok.. but geez at least pretend you're interested in getting to know me..

Hey T,

Scoundrel may be a bit harsh. This guy actually did you a favor, telegraphing his intentions right off the bat. He is not interested in a long term relationship. He would have been a big waste of your time.

When it comes to women, men are not the smartest creatures on the planet. Some are smarter than others but few of us really understand women. Why do guys do things you might consider bizarre.... simply because it has worked in the past and in fact it may have worked more often than not.

Think about the 3 date rule. Do you think men conspired to come up with this... once again, not that smart. They know, from experience that some other women will... a great many of them, in fact. If a guy moves on after 3 dates he's not interested in getting to know you.... he just wants the "cookie".

There are women who will offer sex, early on, in order to get love in return.... and men will always offer love, early on, in order to get sex..... men get what they want but women... not so much.

I hate to admit it....but you are so right!!!!!

I hope any woman on here who still thinks/feels/believes that "putting out" for a virtual stranger will get her loved by that stranger reads this.  You've performed a fine public service with this post, Deke.

LaNegrita,
Sounds like a player to me. If you want to see where a man REALLY stands, get him to date you at least a month before the "cookie". If he's willing to wait that long, he might be a keeper!

He claims that he was in town. His behavior was so odd, he could have been in Maui.

He whizzed into town and then contacted you to meet up? Somehow I can't see myself whizzing into a ladies town without knowing that the sort of date (meeting up) I had in mind was someting she might like as well.
